Discovering Lesconil

We decided to have a night away at the coast. Chris had a look at the map and found a camping car aire at Lesconil on the South coast. We hadn't been there before so we thought we give it a try.

As you can see by Chris' face, we were glad we did!

The aire was situated just behind the sand dunes. A couple of minutes walk and we were on the beach!

So wonderful to feel sand between our toes!

A walk along the beach led us to a small estuary. The tide was out so we could walk over to the small town on the other side.

We were surprised to find, around the corner, a pretty harbour with small sailing and fishing boats.

There were also a few shops, restaurants and cafes. We sat outside one of them and enjoyed a salted caramel ice cream whilst taking in the harbour view.

On the way back along the beach, we paddled and had fun in the sea with Spencer.

After tea in Harvey J, we took an evening walk along the beach in the opposite direction.

It was beautiful.....

Thank you for visiting!

  1. How lovely. a day at the seaside is a real tonic and salted caramel ice cream, just so yummy. Looks as though you both had a great time. x

  3. Beautiful and what a lovely get away. I've been meaning to ask you what type of vehicle/brand is Harvey J? I think one like it would be perfect for me traveling with my girls.
